westmoreland farms
Westmoreland Farms is home to Amy, Doug, Jessica and Marian, as well as our fluffy companions Austry, Finn an Bosun. It has been a family dream for decades to have place big enough for everyone to live together, yet providing enough personal space for the individual parties. With several other places we considered over the years, we ended up choosing this farm, as it fits our passion for animals and gardening perfectly. It has never been the plan to do any commercial farming, but we are happy to enable the possibilities the farm brings as a side business. With a big family and friends group from all over the world, it was clear from the beginning that some accommodation for visitors is needed and will also be offered as rental apartments for you to spend your vacation in the beautiful area of New England.

This is Amy and Doug, their Daughter Jessica as well as her Husband Marian. Amy Doug and Jessica are long time residents of Rhode Island, while Marian just moved to the US from Germany in 2023. We are all passionate sailors, which makes Rhode Island the perfect place for us and went even further for Marian with a career in the yachting industry as a sales manager for different European Yacht Manufacturers. Jessica, Amy and Doug, are all highly skilled engineers, with professions in the electrical and medical sector.

Looking at our fluffy companions, which 3 dogs and counting, it doesn't seem like we necessarily need any extra farm animals. It is already hard enough, to get them all in one picture. Nevertheless, we plan to add some more species to the farm, starting with the "Westmoreland Chicks" and probably be followed by Scottish longhair kettle. There might some goats and alpacas joining us, so stay tuned for updates
